Different cultures and communities may have different expectations about communication styles. Some people value directness and explicit communication, while others prefer more indirect or context-sensitive ways of expressing ideas.
Reflect on your own communication style and experiences.
Consider the following questions:
- Do you usually communicate directly or indirectly?
- How do people in your community typically express disagreement, requests, or criticism?
- Have you ever interacted with someone whose communication style felt very different from yours?
- How did that interaction make you feel?
- What challenges or advantages can different communication styles create?
Please provide at least one specific example to support your reflection.
