Instructions: Peer Review Process In the Moodle Workshop activity, you will: 1. Submit your Week 3 essay draft for peer review (if not already done) 2. Receive two of your classmates' essays to review 3. Complete the peer feedback form for each essay using the rubric criteria below 4. Receive feedback from two peers on your own essay 5. Write a brief response (100 words) explaining which feedback you found most useful and why
Peer feedback will be graded on quality: specific, constructive, and evidence-based feedback earns full marks. Vague or superficial feedback ('Good essay! I liked it.') will receive partial or no credit. |
Peer Feedback Form (for Reviewers)

Complete for each essay you review For each section, write 2–3 sentences of specific, helpful feedback. Use evidence from the essay.
6. Thesis statement — Is it clear, specific, and debatable? How could it be improved? 7. Introduction — Does it have a hook and background? Is the reader drawn in effectively? 8. Body paragraphs — Are the main points well-developed? Is evidence used? Are transitions present? 9. Conclusion — Does it synthesize the argument? Does it go beyond simply repeating the introduction? 10. Academic vocabulary — Is formal language used appropriately? Note any informal words that should be revised. 11. Overall — What is the strongest part of this essay? What ONE thing would most improve it? |
