⚖️ Academic Integrity Instructions — University of Leeds Read this page carefully before submitting your final project: https://library.leeds.ac.uk/info/1401/academic_skills/46/academic_integrity

Academic integrity means taking full responsibility for your own work — acknowledging your sources, representing your ideas honestly, and submitting work that is genuinely your own. It is one of the most important values in university life, and understanding it protects both you and your academic reputation.

      Follow these steps:

      1. Read the full page, paying close attention to the sections on plagiarism, proper citation, and the consequences of academic misconduct.
      2. Note the different forms of plagiarism described. Some may surprise you — for example, poor paraphrasing or failing to cite a source even when you did not intend to copy it can still be considered plagiarism.
      3. Before submitting your final essay, ask yourself the following questions:
        • Have I cited every source I used, including any I paraphrased?
        • Is every idea that is not my own clearly attributed to its original author?
        • Did I write this essay myself, in my own words, without copying from any source?
      4. If you used any sources in your final essay, double-check your references against the citation style required by your institution before submitting.

Remember: citing sources correctly is not just about avoiding penalties — it is about giving credit to the scholars whose work helped shape your thinking. It is a sign of academic maturity and intellectual honesty.
