    • Past tenses: Simple past, past continuous, past perfect (to describe events in the past).
    • Connectors: Conjunctions like "because", "so", "then", "after", "while" (to connect events and create a flow).
    • Direct and indirect speech: To convey characters' thoughts and dialogue
